AP.LK App Terms of Use
Last updated: 28 October 2026
About these terms
The AP.LK apps for Android, iPhone and iPad, Wear OS and Apple Watch (with their widgets) are owned by Anuradha Perera, the teacher of every AP.LK class, and operated by his company, AP Education (Pvt) Ltd, a private limited company incorporated in Sri Lanka on 20 March 2025 under the Companies Act No. 7 of 2007 (registered as AP EDUCATION (PVT) LTD). In these pages, "AP Education", "we", "us" and "our" mean AP Education (Pvt) Ltd.
These terms apply when you use the AP.LK apps. By signing in you agree to them (under the Electronic Transactions Act, No. 19 of 2006, accepting them in the app is as binding as signing them) and to the app privacy policy. Using the AP.LK website is covered by the website's own terms.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old and use your own AP.LK student account.
- Keep your sign-in to yourself. Your account works on one app device at a time; signing in on another phone signs the earlier one out.
- Your Smart ID is yours alone: don't let anyone else use your QR code or phone tap to enter.
2. What the apps give you
The apps show the classes, recordings, PDFs, homework, papers, marks, timetable, notices, tute deliveries and Smart ID of your AP.LK account, and let you log your study time. What you can open depends on your AP.LK account; the apps sell nothing.
3. Ownership of content
Every recording, PDF, paper, marking and other material in the apps belongs to Anuradha Perera and AP Education (Pvt) Ltd and is protected by the Intellectual Property Act, No. 36 of 2003. You may use it for your own study only.
4. Acceptable use
- Don't record, download, copy, share or sell recordings, PDFs or other material, or show them to people outside your account.
- Don't try to get around the apps' protections, reverse-engineer them, or use them on a modified device to reach content. Unauthorised access to accounts or systems is also an offence under the Computer Crime Act, No. 24 of 2007.
- Don't use someone else's account, Smart ID or device.
- Don't misuse LearniX or try to make it produce harmful content.
5. Suspension
If an account breaks these terms we may suspend or close it. For copyright breaches we may also take legal action.
6. Availability
We work to keep the apps running and up to date, but they can be unavailable at times (for maintenance or updates). Some features may need a newer version of the app.
7. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account) or at ap.lk/app/delete-account.
8. Liability
The apps are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, AP Education (Pvt) Ltd is not liable for indirect losses from using them. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Sri Lankan law.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use the apps means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
